It’s Daylight in the Swamp
By
Beryl Allport, MCC, TRC

Daylight indicates a time of awakening and for this purpose, the "Swamp" is your environment and the "beings" that make it work in harmony.

Daylight in the swamp is about awakening all of your skills, attributes and soul at work or wherever you are. It is about feeling and being fully alive and awake no matter where you are, or what you are doing. When you are fully 'awake', you experience your daily tasks, challenges and the people you meet in a new way.

The swamp is anywhere, the work can be anywhere, the self is wherever you are.

Have you ever sensed the harmony in the wetlands, the sounds and workings of nature? Have you ever experienced a sunrise in nature and felt the incredible energy of increasing light, a new beginning and a new day dawning? When you become fully awakened you have these uplifting experiences on a regular basis, work becomes easier and you see and connect with the best in others.

Awakenings can, and must, be implanted into our lives and our workplaces increasing light and heartfelt energy for each individual and culminating into harmony for the whole. (examples in book)

Real leaders are not those who run the biggest corporations, make the most money or oversee the most powerful countries. Real leaders are those who live authentically – who are true to their higher purpose in even the most challenging moments. Each of us as leaders can be role models who inspire by taking responsibility for results, keeping promises, helping others to reach their potential and dedicated to making a better place to be – workplace, home, community and the world.

As every person takes responsibility to live and work totally aligned with who they really are, the affects on the whole world would create enlightened organizations that are the result of the people in them. One way to assure you are living your authentic self is to be living your legacy every day.

As a Personal and Professional Life Coach working with individuals caught up in to-day’s demands, "right sizing", depression from work-related stress, wanting to change careers and their lives, it is clear that it is essential to stay true to who you really are and your core values. Bring the authentic YOU to the workplace. Otherwise, you keep trying to fit into the mania, the materialism, the products and money driven systems. Leaders, in whatever role they have, need to know that people are hungry for this and seeking it in the workplace. As you awaken to your own authenticity, uniqueness and greatness, you inspire with increased passion and energy. When you stay true to your inner knowing and aligned with who you really are, you become an inspiration, attracting like-minded beings and environments.

"The speed at which the Law of Attraction manifests my desire is in direct proportion to how much I am allowing it." - Michael Lozier

For lasting workable relationships that stay secure, it is increasingly important to connect on a deeper level of core values and trust that withstands any challenges encountered – much like maintaining a marriage in this age of personal relationship instability. When you attract, or are attracted to, like-minded people, with the same core beliefs, values and ethics, your team of two or many can anticipate unexpected growth opportunities. The whole is enlightened by empowering individuation. Combining individual beliefs with corporate focus involves being accountable, true to self and at the same time commitment and respect to the whole at all levels.

The swamp is anywhere, the work can be anywhere, the self is wherever you are.

"Like-minded people make the business world go 'round'". – Richard Zinck
